Why I built this
I built the app I couldn’t find myself.
When I decided to stop drinking, I looked for an app that could actually help. Most just counted days. Others threw generic quotes at me, or ignored what really happens to a person at different stages of recovery.
I wanted to understand what was going on with me today — why my mood kept shifting, how to get through the hard evenings, and how not to lose motivation.
So I started building Soberise while walking my own path to sobriety. Many features were born from real difficulties I ran into myself. If an idea doesn’t help me or the people who use the app, it doesn’t make it into the next version.
Soberise isn’t just a day counter. It’s a tool that grows together with the people who chose a life without alcohol.
